Getaway Games is a weekend of team competitions in a summer camp environment for adults 21+. Teams will compete in over 15 physical and mental challenges, with one team rising to victory, claiming the grand prize. This weekend is for those who want to work hard and play hard, all while supporting our mission, to serve Tulsa-area youth. Sign up now for the first Camp Fire Green Country Getaway Games!

Who can be on my team?
Teams can be made up of anyone 21 years of age or older. All gender identities are welcome. Need help with who to recruit? Round up your co-workers or create a team with your next-door neighbors. Reconnect with your old college pals. Look to your athletic clubs, friends from the gym, book club members, classmates! The options are endless – just come with a team ready to win!

Can I sign up as an individual and have Camp Fire place me on a team?
Sorry, no. You’ll have to form your own team. We’ve provided some recruitment ideas above!

What meals are provided?
Expect delicious meals including dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch & dinner on Saturday, and a grand finale Sunday brunch. You’ll have the opportunity to inform us of dietary preferences or restrictions when you sign up.

What are the team accommodations?
Your entire team will be staying in one cabin together. Cabins have heat and air conditioning, are furnished with twin size bunk beds, and have a half bath. Shower houses are located in nearby buildings. You will need to bring your own bedding. Teams of only 4 or 5 players may be placed with an additional team in a single cabin.

What do I need to bring?
A complete packing list will be provided to participants prior to the event, but here are some ideas: bring your own bedding and toiletries; a couple changes of clothes as well as close-toed shoes; bring general camp items like a flashlight, bug spray, and sunscreen.

What will the competitions be?
We’re saving some details as a surprise; however, competitions are designed to challenge teams physically, mentally, and creatively. Some will be traditional camp games, like Capture the Flag, some will test your outdoor skills like archery, and others will be fun, messy, and hilarious. Participants should be prepared for moderate to intense physical activity during Oklahoma summer heat.

What can I do now to prepare?
Recruit your friends! Get signed up! Choose your team name. Start designing your team costumes for the costume contest. And just a hint – start watching some TikTok dances.

What will the schedule for the weekend look like?
Gates will open on Friday at 4 PM and our award ceremony will conclude our weekend, on Sunday at noon. There will be over 15 competitions throughout the weekend, time for meals and team bonding, as well as moments to enjoy the camp atmosphere. Be ready for a retro dance party and much more.

How will it work if we have 4 (or 8) players on our team?
Some activities will allow for a full team (up to 8 players) to participate at once while others will require you to strategically appoint your best player to secure the win. If you bring a larger team (7-8), expect some players to sit out and cheer on their mates for select games. If in a smaller team (4-6), be ready to participate in every competition.

How can I guarantee my team will win?
While only one team can win the grand prize, there will be a few other rewards along the way. If you are really motivated, there will be opportunities to add additional points to your team’s totals. No specific details yet… but financial supporters of Camp Fire may have an advantage.

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?
You may bring your own alcoholic beverages! You are responsible for cooling your own beverages – break out your cooler! If you forget to pack your drinks, we have you covered! We’ll have adult beverages available throughout the stay. As for food, you may pack your own snacks, however, they must stay in the main lodge to keep any critters away.

Where is camp?
Our camp is situated on the beautiful shores of Fort Gibson Lake. It is 45 minutes from the Tulsa city center near Chouteau, Oklahoma.

Are pets allowed?
Nope. Sorry, pets are not allowed at our camp.
